Recipe for basic Grilled Fish
500gms fish fillets
6 cloves garlic minced
½ inch piece ginger crushed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
If you have frozen fish then after defrosting dab it both sides with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
In a bowl combine garlic, ginger, olive oil, basil, salt, pepper and lemon juice
Place the filets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Or a better way would be to take a zip lock bag and add the fish and marinade in it. Cover or seal and place aside for about an hour.
Preheat your oven and grill the fillets 5 minutes each side or until it is done. I tried to rev up the oven but it just wouldn’t start so I just shallow fried it.
Serve this Easy Grilled Fish hot with onion rings and a lemon wedge and sprinkle a little chat masala before serving if you like a chatpata taste. I served it with Mexican rice which is a little sticky and with lots of butter.
