Mango jelly

When it is summer who can resist the king of fruits-Mango! Small or big, juicy or hard, raw or ripe are chopped and consumed just by themselves or as Juice, shakes, smoothies, lassi, mango custard or ice cream jelly. Summer is almost over and so are my mango dessert posts. Here I have brought 10 awesome mango desserts on one page to make it easy for your reference. Mangoes are great as long as they last and I try to make as many desserts as possible. So try out these easy recipes which are on the hyperlinked text.

  1. Mango-Yoghurt Pudding

Mango Yoghurt Pudding

Delicious Mango-Yoghurt Pudding takes a few minutes to make with Greek yoghurt and powdered sugar with a topping of your choice. I wanted to try something easy and different and I ended up with a combo of hung yoghurt and mango pulp. It tastes divine if I may say so myself; a no-cook, easy-peasy dessert and a winner every time you serve it.

  1. Rich Creamy Custard with Mango slice

Rich-creamy-custard-with-mango-slices

This pudding tastes creamy with a hint of vanilla and lots of mango flavour. I love the bite of fresh, juicy mangoes on the top. It is summer and mangos are abundantly availableโ€ฆwhen you get lemons you make lemonade and I say that when you get mangos make juice, pickle, desserts, aam-panna, or just eat it!

  1. Easy Mango Sago Pearl Swirl

Easy Mango Sago Pearl Swirl

I made this Easy Mango Sago Pearl Pudding with the Banganapalli mangoes which are abundantly available here and are even exported nationally and internationally.  I used sago pearls which have a cooling effect on the body. This summer dessert is sweet tangy and light on the tummy.

  1. No-Cook No Churn Mango Ice Cream

No Cook No Churn Mango Ice Cream

This is a no-cook ice cream and is assembled in minutes with just 4 ingredients; condensed milk, mango puree, sugar to taste and cream. The whipped cream aerates and the condensed milk keeps it creamy, like ice cream

  1. Creamy Mango Sago Floats

Creamy Mango Sago Floats

Mango floats on a bed of cracker powder, pureed mango, tapioca pearls covered in cream and condensed milk layers and topped with chocolate and other sprinkles with a crisp Kit Kat finger popping up. Sounds interesting, doesnโ€™t it?

  1. Natural Tasting Mango-Coconut Jelly

Natural Tasting Mango-Coconut Jelly

A simple but marvellous looking layered Mango-Coconut jelly which tastes so natural and delectable. You need very few ingredients to churn out this Natural Tasting Mango-Coconut Jelly. Living in South India and that too on the coastal line, mangoes and coconuts are available easily and in abundance and both, I use extensively in my cooking.

  1. Mango Puri or Deep Fried Unleavened Mango Bread

Mango Puri or Deep Fried Unleavened Mango Bread

The mango mania continues and this time it is Mango Puri or Deep Fried Unleavened Mango Bread. Mango in a puri; that is a double whammy isnโ€™t it? Mangoes are a universal favourite and when you add them to Puri which is also as relished, makes it a delectable and drool-worthy dish. A dough of wheat flour and pureed mangoes, spiked with cardamom powder are rolled into small discs which are deep-fried, these yummy mango puris can be served at breakfast, tea time or anytime is a good time.

  1. Creamy Mango Phirni

Smooth and Tasty Mango Phirni

Phirni is a light, creamy and sweet, a chilled rice pudding flavoured with exotic saffron strands.  It is the ideal accompaniment for a hot summer day or after a spicy meal. Top it with chopped up almonds or pistachios for an added punch.

  1. Mango Kulfi Falooda

Kulfi is not an ice cream. It is the exotic flavours in it that make it taste so special. Western ice creams are egg-based; Kulfi is traditionally made from milk, simmered for hours to get a rich caramelised flavour. It is unique, unlike any other ice cream. This traditional way of making it is time-consuming and tedious so now we add condensed milk to speed up the process and yet retain the same flavour and texture.

  1. Mango Popsicles

Mango Popsicles

These golden yellow Mango Popsicles are so luscious and irresistible. Lick them first thing in the morning and drink in the ambrosia and you will forget the scorching sun for sure. In India, most of us welcome the summer season in spite of the scorching heat just to enjoy this delicious summer fruit- mango. Mango is said to be the food of the gods. No wonder it is known as the โ€˜King of fruitsโ€™.

Check out the Summer Drinks here.

My writing was limited to school essays and projects for my kids and out of the blue, my writing career began with writing articles for the magazine section of a reputed national newspaper. I rediscovered my best subject at school and began writing with gusto. I had a weekend column in the newspaper which was well appreciated. I started off writing about Interiors and Gardens and later diverse topics like Fashion, trends, food and events in the city. Juggling my time between various jobs down the years and my writing, I have written content for fliers, brochures for colleges, speeches, social media content and also website content. I love writing and I am open to writing on a plethora of topics. My blog has some interesting insights into my life and travels but now it is mainly a food blog as I am growing organic vegetables and cooking my own produce is very therapeutic. Read my blogs to know me better. I write from my heart and what I write is what I feel... I feel a feel, A funny feel A funny feel, feel I! If you feel the feel I feel You'll feel the same as I!!
