Pink Guava Iced Tea

  1. Wash Guava and chop into wedges. You can peel the skin to get a really pink colour but the nutrients would be reduced. I do not peel guavas.
  2. Make a weak tea decoction and cool in the fridge.
  3. Take the chopped guava in a blender, pomegranate pearls, add sugar, ginger, mint and cold water and blend.
  4. Strain through a sieve to remove the seeds.
  5. Take a tall glass and pour the tea decoction in it. Add ice cubes till the top.
  6. Now pour the guava juice over the ice cubes. Sprinkle some ginger juliennes on the top.
  7. On a toothpick skewer the guava wedge, lemon ring and mint and place it on the rim.
  8. Your Pink Guava Iced tea is ready to sip and it is like ambrosia in this March heat.

Notes: Add a dash of Sprite or Club Soda to make a fizzy drink.

You can even add vodka instead of the tea to make a cocktail.

Peel the guava for a darker pink coloured drink.

Ginger can be optional
