Jamun Popsicles/ Black Plum Ice Lollies #BlogchatterA2Z

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gms Jamun / Black Plum
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup smallof sugar
  • Few leaves of mint Optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash and deseed all the Jamun. Keep 2 tbsps. of chopped Jamun aside.
  • Take the rest in a blender and blitz with water, sugar and mint. Strain the juice as it could be really pulpy and squeeze half a lime. If you are making them for kids then do not add the lemon juice or mint as they may not relish it.
  • Add the chopped Jamun to the moulds and pour the juice into them. Place the wooden stick in the centre and if it doesn’t stick then try it after putting it in the fridge for an hour.
  • Freeze for 3-4 hours or leave it overnight.

Notes

If you do not have a Popsicle stand you can freeze the ice lollies in small steel glasses or disposable plastic or paper cups. Once the wooden stick is in cover the cups with aluminium foil. Make a tiny slit in the centre and push the ice cream stick through it.
To remove the Popsicle from a steel glass, just run it under water.
If you are using paper cups or plastic cups, then the popsicles will slip out easily.
In case they don’t just take scissors and cut them all around.
