As we commemorate International Women’s Day 2024 under the theme “Inspire Inclusion,” I am reminded of the diverse tapestry of experiences that shape the lives of women around the world. This celebration serves as a poignant reminder; of the strides we’ve made towards gender equality while acknowledging the hurdles that still lie ahead. Join me on a heartfelt journey. I share my trials, losses, and unwavering resilience, embodying the spirit of the phoenix rising from the ashes.

The Unspoken Struggles: Breaking the Silence

Single Strong woman

In a world where women continue to fight for the most basic rights, my journey has been a testament to the silent battles many endure. From the shadows of societal expectations to the weight of personal tragedies; I’ve weathered storms that threatened to extinguish my flame. Yet, like many women, I refuse to be defined by my struggles. Instead, I draw strength from adversity, knowing every trial is a stepping stone towards greater resilience.

A Journey of Trials and Triumphs: From Darkness to Light

Harjeet and her Journey

My story begins with the heavy burden of post-natal depression, a silent assailant that clouded my early years of motherhood. Despite the darkness that threatened to consume me, I emerged victorious. I am armed with the courage to seek help and reclaim my light. But life’s challenges didn’t stop there. The sudden loss of my husband plunged me into a world of grief and isolation. Societal stigma cast me as an outcast. Yet, through the pain, I found purpose in perseverance, paving a path towards personal and professional growth.

Redefining Success: Finding Joy in the Simple Things

I navigated through the labyrinth of loss and despair. I discovered that genuine success lies not in material wealth or societal accolades. But in the pursuit of inner peace and contentment. From humble beginnings as a struggling widow to the blossoming of my homestay business, I learned to cherish life’s simple blessings. Through kindness, gratitude, and self-care, I cultivated a garden of joy amidst life’s thorns.

Cultivating Happiness: Eight Habits to Transform Your Life

In the pursuit of happiness, I’ve unearthed eight transformative habits that have reshaped my outlook on life. From embracing gratitude to prioritizing self-care; these practices have become the cornerstones of my journey towards fulfilment. By sharing these insights, I hope to inspire others. Help them embark on their quest for happiness, knowing that joy is not a destination but a way of being.

Radiating Happiness: Spreading Joy in a World of Adversity

As I reflect on my journey of resilience and empowerment, I am reminded of the profound impact each woman has on the world around her. By radiating happiness and embracing inclusion, we can unite to dismantle barriers. We can challenge stereotypes and create a more equitable society for future generations. Together, let us celebrate the diversity and strength of women everywhere. Knowing that our stories inspire change and ignite hope in the hearts of all.

I invite you to join me on this journey of self-discovery and transformation. Every trial is a testament to the indomitable spirit of the human soul. Together, let us rise like phoenixes from the ashes. Let’s embody the resilience, courage, and unwavering determination that define womanhood. Happy International Women’s Day 2024. May we continue to inspire inclusion and celebrate the diversity that makes us extraordinary?

Very true, women should not be known for their struggles but for the strengths they possess. I also love to talk about the positives instead of cribbing on what we miss

I have realized that though we, women, are not given too much importance and freedom, we do make an impact on the lives around us. People take time to understand this, but eventually they will understand once the house is at a standstill when the woman is unwell. But of course, we should also stand up and make sure they understand it before we collapse!

I’ve always been a fan of your writing and posts, but today reading about your personal life and struggles has made me a fan of you as a person and a woman. I’m sure losing your life partner isn’t easy nor is postpartum depression, but to come out of it unscathed and still strong is commendable. Life surely isn’t the same for everyone; each has their battles, but to come out smiling and motivating so many women is how you live it. keep shining and keep inspiring!

Harjeet, lots of hugs. Your story is indeed an inspiration for many like us to not take anything in life for granted and for not letting struggles define who we are. Society can be mean, but to rise above all that is something that requires courage and loads them. And you have proven again and again that your flame burns the brightest. Best wishes.
