heat the griddle or tawa on medium heat. once hot pour a ladleful of batter and spread it to make round shape pancake. drizzle a little oil (i use a non-stick pan and do away with oil) and let the chilla get cooked on one side. then flip it using a spatula and cook the other side till gets golden brown. then add the onion and coriander leaves. fold it into half, once cooked, remove it to a plate and serve hot with pickle, chutney or even tomato sauce. anyway, it tastes yummy.
