Saucy Oriental Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gms Boneless Chicken
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Green chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp Tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Mixed Herbs
  • 2 slit s green chilies

Instructions
 

  • firstly, take a wok and add the oil to it. once the oil is hot add the slit green chilies and the chicken.
  • sauté the chicken well and cover with the lid. keep stirring the chicken.
  • once the chicken stops oozing, add the sugar, salt, and mixed herbs (oregano, basil, sage, rosemary, thyme).
  • make it spicy by being liberal with the red pepper flakes. stir again. let it cook for five minutes with the lid on.
  • the chicken is almost done now. check if it is and then add the rest of the ingredients; first the vinegar, then the soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato sauce and toss the chicken well.

  • before i could transfer the chicken to a serving dish, the kids came to the kitchen drawn by the aroma wafting through the house.
  • It was polished off in minutes i do not eat chicken but i do cook it and i do not know how it tastes!

Notes

  1. Add less oil
  2. feel free to add or remove sauces
  3. Add peppers for added flavour or colour
