12 Things To Do On Lazy Summer Days
“Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it”-Russel Baker
L for Lazy- 12 Things To Do On Lazy Summer Days or the #BlogchatterA2Z challenge. Everyone loves spring, but summer has its charm. If you are a positive thinker, you will see the lively side of the blazing summer. Crib about the heat, the power cuts, or the water shortage but then do not forget to be thankful for the bird song early in the morning or the delicious mangoes that you drool over.
It’s hot, humid, sweltering, blistering, sultry, sweaty, sizzling, burning, boiling, stuffy, scorching, suffocating. But summer gives us sunshine, long days, cocktails and mocktails, cold salads and popsicles, pool parties and short dresses, beautiful beaches and bikinis.
12 Things To Do On Lazy Summer Days
1. The Warm Weather
Yes, it is hot but you wake up early, go for a walk and watch the sun’s rays shining through the trees.
2. The Fruits
Luscious mangoes, juicy watermelons and muskmelons, papaya, bananas and pineapple.
3. Summer Drinks
Refreshing summer drinks with fresh produce are healthy and keep you cool. Aam panna, buttermilk, Iced teas, Sherbets, Lemonade, fancy mocktails and fruit juices will keep you hydrated through the day.4.
4. The Food
The top of the list is cold salads. The quintessence of salads is they can be mixed with greens, sprouts, fruits or even chicken and fish. Kadhi chawal, curd rice, majjiga or pacchi pulusu in Andhra and fresh vegetables for a gourmet meal.
5.The ice creams
Whether it’s the delectable homemade popsicle or the crunchy cornetto of Kwality, the rich creamy tub of Baskin and Robbins, Naturals or Kulfi; its time to sit back and enjoy every lick
6. Exercise or Gym
Exercise helps in keeping you cool! How? It flushes blood through your body and releases toxins and sweat. Sweat is not just the odour but the release of odour from your body.
7.The Clothing
Off with the heavy layers. Bright and light summery dresses, show off your pretty feet in strappy sandals and floral flip-flops.
8. Beach Visits
Just relax on a recliner, listening to the tranquil sounds of the waves, sipping a mocktail or finishing that bestseller that was lying unopened.
9. Enjoying Water
Whether it’s a cold shower or getting sprayed with the garden hose, water never seems lovelier. 2 to 3 showers a day or take a long bath if you have the luxury of a tub. Indulge yourself; light aromatic candles, use a scented bubble bath and dream. It’s time to keep cool from the sweltering heat; jump into the closest pool.
10. Learn a new skill
Learn a new language or to paint or dance, maybe a short course in pottery? If you are inclined to cooking then go for those classes teaching cold salads and cold soups.
11. Music and Melody
Make a playlist of your favourites and play it on loop. Play it loud and sing along, even if you have a croaky voice like mine.
12. Holidays or Vacations
Remember those carefree summer holidays when you were a kid? Memorable always. Escape to the chilly hill stations or hit the beaches of Goa or Kerala.

Harjeet this post is a keepsake for all. You have beautifully complied all the necessary things to do in summer. Well I feel a bit lazy during summer days. Only eating, sleeping and binge watching. Even I procrastinate writing. Let me think to explore something new.
