6  Values That Propel International Women’s Day

Just like there are 6 fundamental rights in the Indian Constitution, I share 6 values that propel International Women’s Day. People see different things that mean to different people. But then the global attention is centred around equality. International Women’s Day is a day to recognise and commemorate women all over the world for the service we make every day to society. Here are 6  Values That Propel International Women’s Day

One specific and strong association lead to the foundation of a united front for women all over the world to collectively raise their voice in aspiration and accomplishment. That lead to International Women’s Day.

Values that steer International Women’s Day offer guidance for the sort of act endeavour, performance and the spirit connected with this vibrant and championed, International Women’s Day.

6  Values That Propel International Women’s Day

1.         Equality

2.         Justice

3.         Hope

4.         Sisterhood

5.         Persistence

6.         Compassion

EQUALITY

The definition of gender equality- where genders are free to take up a career, choice, lifestyle and abilities they aspire without any prejudice. Women should not be denied their rights, and opportunities due to their status or background. Equality means guaranteeing that each one will have equal access to showcase their talents or do well in their lives.  No person has lesser chances to do well based on their status or background is the crux of International Women’s Day. But in the centuries gone by women were reckoned to have no role in politics. They were not allowed to vote or contest for a seat in parliament. Women were designated to be homemakers while the men assumed husbands would take on the onus of political matters and  be the breadwinner

JUSTICE

The perception of justice may vary depending on the culture, But the concept of justice is centred around respect and equality amongst people. The Women’s Libber toiled unreservedly for rightfulness, self-respect and aspiration. Justice stands for being allowed equal rights and prospects as men. Today via International Women’s Day, the demand for justice rings globally still as women strive for equal opportunity, environment and chances that men get on a platter.

HOPE

A feeling of optimism, anticipation and aspiration for a time of equality between the sexes. The women’s rights activist canvassed determinedly, hoping for an exceptional world in the future. A world, where women will be given equal rights and options. The women activists represented the importance of hope with green colour. This colour was used were utilized to decorate flags, rosettes badges and banners.

6  Values That Propel International Women’s Day

SISTERHOOD

Similar to the preceding Suffragettes who joined forces, the modern-day women are aware that there is power in unity or Sisterhood. There is a might in numbers and a voice that is heard is crucial in bringing about change. The International Women’s Day created on teamwork remains to be a fundamental aspect of its influence even today. Globally, individuals and groups bond, not just to rejoice in the triumphs of women, but to carry on championing larger gender equality.

PERSISTENCE

Persistence was a basic norm of both the exponents and women advocates of the right to vote. Their unstinting endeavour in fighting for their rights transformed history. “Deeds not words” was their adage and they dedicated great thought and energy to shaping women’s rights. To this as in the past, a large number of groups and networks are present. They all are working in tandem to enhance the cultural social, political and economic status of women  This day – International Women’s Day is the most important day to give out the clarion call, awareness, and celebrating women who create a change by their accomplishments.

COMPASSION

Striving to empathize, care and highly regard diversity, and valuing the dissimilarities are important to establishing profound relationships to influence change.  Empathy is putting yourself in another’s situation, emotionally understanding and putting yourself in another person’s shoes. Varying circumstances situations and points of view can be understood. Imagine a gender-equal world. A world that is free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. That’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.

Celebrate women’s achievements. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.( 1)

My writing was limited to school essays and projects for my kids and out of the blue, my writing career began with writing articles for the magazine section of a reputed national newspaper. I rediscovered my best subject at school and began writing with gusto. I had a weekend column in the newspaper which was well appreciated. I started off writing about Interiors and Gardens and later diverse topics like Fashion, trends, food and events in the city. Juggling my time between various jobs down the years and my writing, I have written content for fliers, brochures for colleges, speeches, social media content and also website content. I love writing and I am open to writing on a plethora of topics. My blog has some interesting insights into my life and travels but now it is mainly a food blog as I am growing organic vegetables and cooking my own produce is very therapeutic. Read my blogs to know me better. I write from my heart and what I write is what I feel... I feel a feel, A funny feel A funny feel, feel I! If you feel the feel I feel You'll feel the same as I!!
