Tawa Bhindi Recipe | Pan-Fried Okra

Tawa Bhindi

Simple and quick yummy recipe, fried Tawa Bhindi Recipe | Pan-Fried Okra with video tutorial.

I used a cast iron pan for this, few ingredients and ready in ten minutes; tasty and chatpata. Tawa Bhindi recipe is actually a must on any North-Indian wedding menu. It is my easy, tasty twist to a typical Stuffed Bhindi recipe. My mom used to slit and fill each Bhindi with the masala. I lack her patience so I give it my quick twist. Believe me, it tastes great.

It is perfectly cooked in the cast iron pan; you should ditch the toxic non-stick pans. The pan is clear with no slimy residue from the bhindi and it is ready under 15 minutes. It is a simple but special, vegan and vegetarian side dish that can be served with Naan, Paratha, Roti or even Rice.

Tawa fried bhindi is spicy and crispy.  This Bhindi or Okra recipe is pan-fried with Besan, garlic powder and our regular Indian spices. Check out how to make this easy recipe at home by following my authentic recipe tutorial with elaborated steps.

Yummm… any tawa vegetables reminds me of winter Indian wedding. Tawa Bhindi and Shimla mirch is my favorite. I make it pretty much the same way. I don’t use Peanuts. May be next time will try doing them.

Super delicious. Okra has special in my all family member’s heart. I have learned this recipe of okra with one of my Gujarati friend, with actually the same combination of masalas, but yes i used to stuff that slit okra with all roasted ingredients. I rather find your recipe more simple, easier and quicker one. So no chances of second thought I have to try this one.
