Author Bio:
Jayanthi is a proud mom, an illustrious wife, and before all that, a daughter to a father who was her hero. She is an engineer and a total tech person. I am technically challenged and never read her blogs for the fear of looking like a fish out of water. Yes, she is a blogger and usually blogs about tech-related subjects.

About the Book:
Daughters are daddy’s little angels and when you lose your hero. Not all of us commemorate a parent by chronicling it in a memoir, but Jayanthi did. She has celebrated the life of her father and brought out such incidents of his life which portray him as an inspiring role model. Idol, not just to his children but to all of us who read the book.
Summary:
Jayanthi shares anecdotes of her dad from her childhood until she was an adult. She reveals how his persona and his values helped mould her sisters and her character. There are incidents that one can relate to every dad in the world and those which were only his principles in life. He took on the onus of charting out their careers with exactitude. Although he was a technically-challenged person, he steered his daughters toward the field of computers and technology. He perceived a great future for them, wherein they could both contribute and profit from it. Jayanthi talks about him laudably, literally hero-worshipping him. In one para, she mentions she thought of marrying him. All this and more connects all daughters with their dad and every daughter reading the book will surely miss her dad, her hero.
The Minus One Star
The flow of the book is simple and related to anecdotes. The copious use of emoticons and exclamation marks cut the narrative, and it became jarring. The book needs proofreading.

1. Tell me a little about yourself.
“I am an engineer, programmer, InfoSec professional turned writer. I have an M.S. in Information Security(USA) along with a B.E. in Computer Science.”
2. What do you like to do in your free time when you are not working, writing, or being a doting mother?
“I am a movie buff, loquacious and I like to chill out with my friends.”
3. Why and when did you start your blog?
“I started writing technical blogs for companies like Simpliearn, Whizlabs, InfoSec Train and others. Later, I fathomed that I should start my own technical blog. Thus, my blogging journey took off in 2017. Now I have not one but two blogs, one self-hosted at Blogtech online and another at jayanthiweb. Today, my blog is a part of me and a voice for my work and my ruminations.”
4. What made you write about your dad?
“My father, as I have already stated in my book, is the architect of my life. I loved him very much, and he taught me everything; how to study, how to write, what to study, how to dress and more. After his demise in October 2020, I poured out my grief in posts but never wrote about how he nurtured us. I want the world to see his sunny, cheerful and smart facet through this book.”
5. Give me an insight into the book.
“Through this book, you will know about my father and the way he groomed us. He thought out of the box and was very lively and jovial. You can read that he was a trailblazer and charted out his dreams for us methodically.”
6. Tell us about your kids and what kind of father your husband is to them.
My son is 20 and my daughter is 15. Both have contrasting personalities. While my son is serious, my daughter is goofy. My son makes incredible music mashups and my daughter has her own blog. She is the queen of fast and quirky responses. My husband is unlike my father. But my kids and my husband have their own kind of rollicking. Just as I proclaim my father to be the best, they retort their father is the best.
