The Best Classic Kids Movies on Zee5

Who wouldn’t want their kids to relive their childhood memories? ZEE5 brings classic movies like Hercules, Robin Hood, The Three Musketeers and much more.
My grandsons are having an extended vacation due to the pandemic. Parents are in a fix to keep the children gainfully occupied the whole day. With online classes taking much of a parent’s time, it’s not easy to get much work done. The best way to get some relief for parents working from home, is movies. There are many OTT channels with many options.ZEE5 kids have thousands of hours of free content. Having been brought up reading the classics, I encourage my grandsons to watch them.
Classic Kids Movies like Hercules, Robin Hood, The Three Musketeers, Cinderella Are All Brought under a Single Roof Only on ZEE5
Let me share a gist of these favourite four amongst so many others.
Robin Hood
Robin Hood is the life story of the legendary archer who ‘steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Young Robert Huntington who grows to be the future Robin Hood, absconds the lotus flower of flames.Along with Will and his sisters, Winifred and Barbara he takes shelter in Sherwood Forest. This is where he meets Friar Tuck and Little John, the leader of a band of young outlaws. England was ruled by a wicked, greedy Prince John. He ordered the Sheriff Nottingham to heavily tax the people. Some rebelled and were forced to become outlaws. The moral for kids from this story is; to know right from wrong, act with a conscience and help those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
The Three Musketeers
Next is The Three Musketeers in 17th century France. A country boy d’Artagnanhas left his home in rural Gascony, to join the elite royal guards, the Musketeers. But, awkwardly he encountered three different Musketeers on his travels. He agrees to a separate duel with each one of them. Three Musketeers are Athos, Porthos and Aramis. The battling is cancelled when the Musketeers’ rivals, the guards of Cardinal Richelieu, arrive. The Musketeers take young d’Artagnan under their wing. This story is about friendship and comradeship.
Hercules
The story of Hercules is one of my favourites as it is a legend of Greece history. He was the son of Zeus, king of the gods, and the mortal woman Alcmene. Hercules was born a demi-god with implausible strength and stamina. He fights the Amazons to obtain the prized girdle of Hippolyta, seizes the Oxen of Geryon and the Horses of Diomedes, and also steals the golden apples of Hesperides. Finally, he captures Cerberus, the fiendish three-headed dog who guards the entrance to the underworld. The film showcases the heroism of Hercules, proving that he is worthy of becoming a god and living in Olympus.
Cinderella
Cinderella is world famous and every little girl imagines herself to be her. Most kids know this fairy tale already, but the visual format is a treat. This movie transports children from the world’s existing situation into a lovely virtual world. Children should let their imagination run riot, which this movie allows them to do. The story has a wicked stepmother and two jealous stepsisters who keep her enslaved and in rags. Cinderella stands no chance of attending the royal ball. But her fairy godmother appears and with her wand, magically transforms her reality into a dream come true. Cinderella charms the handsome Prince Charming at the ball, but must face the rage of her enraged stepmother and sisters when the spell wears off at midnight. The lessons learnt from Cinderella are; kindness, forgiveness, and mainly good winning over evil and luck changing your life.
I am enjoying these movies which carry a moral for my grandsons. Keep your kids entertained and do enjoy your weekends along with your children by watching Classic kid’s movies on ZEE5.
