The Reigning Kitty Party Queen

Every ladies’ group has a Kitty Party Queen, and yours is no exception. Call the group Stars, Pretty Women, or Pearls of Hyderabad, she still ends up running the show.

Nobody elects her. She simply announces herself, and the rest of us go along with it.

An Entry Fit For A Coronation

She arrives the first at a soirée. She descends like a queen and gras the bestseat, so that all the ladies get to see her..

Her perfume pervades the room. Her laugh follows close behind, loud enough to silence three separate conversations mid-sentence. The room quietly rearranges itself around her, chairs and egos alike.

Ask any member how she pulls this off, and nobody has a real answer. She just does, the way weather just happens.

Trivia Night, Her Way

Kitty games have gotten sharper lately, and so has she. Written rounds now test wit instead of luck, which should theoretically be her downfall.

It never is. Ladies scribble brand names or movie titles against a random letter in under a minute. She scribbles too, though her handwriting suggests she’s fighting the clock and losing badly.

Someone reads half a slogan, and everyone races to name the brand. She shouts an answer before the slogan even finishes, half right, fully confident. Song trivia works the same way, rewarding memory over volume, a rule she has clearly never accepted.

She wins most rounds anyway, obviously. When she doesn’t, the scoring suddenly needs a recount. Somehow, the recount always favors her, like gravity bending politely in her direction.

One memorable evening, she disputed a tambola win so passionately that the actual winner apologized. Nobody quite understood why, including the winner.

Kitty queen winning every game

Speaking of tambola, it has picked up seasonal flair too, trading plain numbers for festive tickets. She designs these herself every time. Letting someone else hold the marker is simply not in her constitution.

Nobody Else Gets A Turn

Ask her opinion on anything, and you’ll get it whether you asked or not. Suggest an alternative venue, snack, or game, and she’ll explain, patiently, why your idea won’t survive contact with reality.

Somehow, her idea always wins the vote. Even members who arrived firmly against her plan leave firmly convinced it was theirs all along.

New members learn this fast, usually within one session. Seasoned ones stopped fighting it years ago, filing it under “acts of God.”

Once, a newcomer suggested skipping tambola for a quieter card game. The Queen paused, smiled generously, and announced tambola anyway. The newcomer nodded, already halfway to accepting her fate.

The Twist Nobody Expects

Strip away the noise, though, and something genuinely surprising shows up. She’s the first one at your door with soup when you’re sick, no invitation required.

She remembers birthdays that even your own family forgets, complete with a call at exactly midnight. Her competitive streak might exhaust everyone occasionally, yet her loyalty never wavers, not even slightly.

Every kitty group needs exactly this kind of glue, loud opinions and all. Without her, the group probably wouldn’t survive its own WhatsApp scheduling debates, let alone actual meetings.

Maybe that’s the real secret behind her crown. Nobody hands it to her. She simply earns it, one impossible win, one dramatic recount, one midnight birthday call at a time.
