It is perfectly crispy and smothered in the most delicious, sweet, sticky and spicy sauce.It is ready in 30 minutes. I love making easy Chindian or Indo-Asian dishes that can please the whole family. This quick Indo-Chinese dish is the perfect combo of sweet, sticky and spicy. The chicken is fried to perfection after being dredged in flour and after that doused in a delicious sticky sauce. Brown sugar, garlic, fresh ginger, and a spicy sauce make a great combo of sweet and savoury!

This Sweet, Sticky & Spicy Chicken, uses skinless boneless chicken cubes and tastes delicious. It’s great with rice or with roti, naan or bread to soak up all the sweet, spicy and garlicky gravy.

INGREDIENTS

250gms chicken cubed

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 tablespoons honey

2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger & garlic

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons hot spicy sauce

1 tablespoon oil

2 tbsp tomato ketchup

salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp flour

1 tbsp corn flour

METHOD:

Firstly , mix together brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and hot sauce in a small bowl.

Lightly salt and pepper the chicken.

Next, dredge the chicken cubes in the mixed flour.

Consequently, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken cubes and brown on both sides, about 1 minute per side.

Once chicken is done, add the chicken stock. Let it come to a boil.

Finally, pour the sauce over the chicken. Simmer uncovered until the sauce thickens.

Sweet, Sticky & Spicy Chicken
