dosas have made it to the list of top ten tasty foods of the world. the gorgeousness about a dosa is that it is so versatile and now even north indians love dosas. cheesy dosa sandwich recipe can be eaten for breakfast at tea time, lunch box or for a picnic. you can also carve it and serve it as a starter at formal dinners or kitty parties. this sandwich is an amalgamation of delicate english sandwiches and south indian dosa! this dosa sandwich is just your classic dosa transformed into a fusion dish with a rare taste.
what is cheesy dosa sandwich recipe

cheesy dosa sandwich recipe is basically healthy veggies sandwiched between 2 small uthappams and grilled until toasty. here’s a sandwich which is prepared using dosa batter, sweetcorn, peppers, carrots dipped in greek yoghurt and fresh cream. this unique and enticing fusion recipe is a lip-smacking blend of bland english taste versus spicy south indian.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup dosa batter
1 cup greek yoghurt
½ cup fresh cream
4 tsp mayonnaise
1 tsp sugar
½ cup blanched sweet corn
1 cup carrot grated
½ green capsicum chopped and blanched
½ red pepper chopped and blanched
2 tsp butter
¼ cup grated cheese, like cheddar or mozzarella
salt to taste
METHOD


add salt to the dosa batter and mix well.
heat a mini uttapam pan( available on amazon) with four cavities, sprinkle a little oil on the tava (griddle) and wipe it off gently using a tissue.
add a little ghee or butter in each of the cavities
pour a spoonful of the batter in each of the cavities.
mix the yoghurt/cream/mayo and sugar and now spoon it onto the batter.
sprinkle the corn, peppers and carrot over the cream.
now gently pour another spoon of the batter to cover the sandwich.
it is okay if it is messy…you can clean out the edges later.
roast on a slow flame so that the sandwich is toasted nicely.
once the lower side is done, place a blob of butter on the top and flip it.
finally, it is toasted on both sides. now you can remove from the fire.
sprinkle some grated cheese over the dosas
your cheesy dosa sandwich recipe is ready to serve
you can cut it across and serve with tomato ketchup or chutney or dip of your choice.
