Dog Ice Cream Recipe

Dog Ice Cream Recipe

‘This post is a part of Blogchatter Half Marathon. Summer means extreme heat and we humans try to cool ourselves in various ways.  And we don’t have a hide or fur, do we? Dogs can show they are hot only by panting.  On a hot day, you sip on a cool drink. Your dog would like one too. You can add ice cubes to the water bowl. Better still, make popsicles, icicles or this Dog Ice Cream Recipe. It’s tremendously easy to make this healthy dog ice cream with just 3 ingredients. It was Vodka’s 1 st birthday and I made this yummy ice cream for her.

Peanut Butter, Banana and Yoghurt Dog Ice Cream

Vodka eating ice cream

Most dogs love bananas, yoghurt and peanut butter and these are the 3 ingredients, I have used for this recipe. It takes just a couple of minutes to make. Toss the chopped bananas, peanut butter, and yoghurt into a mixer and blend until it’s mixed well.

Next, pour the mixture into ice trays or silicon paw and dog bone mould, which I ordered on Amazon.

Place the trays in the freezer and in a couple of hours your dog ice cream is ready to serve!

How to Store the Ice Cream

If you want to make a large batch, you can store it in zip lock bags for at least 6 months; if they last that long without being devoured.

METHOD

Firstly, peel and chop the banana.

Next, add banana, peanut butter, and yoghurt to a mixer jar.

Pour into the silicone mould and freeze for a couple of hours.

Feed these frosty paws and dog bone to your furry baby. Be ready for extra slobbered licks and snuggles from your four-legged, loved one.
