About

I am Harjeet, a scrabble-loving bookworm and a young grandma of two toddlers. My name actually means one who wins over everyone, so prepare yourself! I am a freelance content writer and the answer to all your content generation needs. I thrive on writing and content writing gets my adrenaline pumping. Stringing words and vocabulary is my passion, as well as my bread and butter. Whether it is lifestyle content, ghostwriting, blogging, features, or articles, covers the whole gamut of writing that I can pen down. My writing has been much appreciated as it attracts, engrosses as well as captivates. Recently a blog of mine on Srinagar has been chosen for the CBSE textbook.

My blog covers a myriad of interesting topics like Food, Travel, Gardening, Grooming, and Lifestyle. I am a passionate home chef and am all for a healthy balanced diet with simple, easy-to-cook recipes. What I do is transform traditional recipes into gourmet by the turn of my ladle.

I have created my own ways to make the recipes simple for the millennial. Although, I do not compromise on taste. For me, the presentation of the food has to lead the diner to wipe off his/her plate. My blog is a comprehensive fusion of recipes from Indian, Mexican, and Moroccan & Chinese cuisines. In these days of hectic lifestyles, I curate and share easy-to-follow methods, both for the experienced and the novice.

I call myself a “Jugaadu” cook as I make do with whatever ingredients are available and churn out a gourmet dish. I have won many laurels locally and online. They ranked my blog 14 in the Top 100 Lifestyle Blogs in India 4 Years in a row. I love to cook for family and friends and I use my secret ingredient-“love” abundantly in my cooking.

Sharing my recipes with others gives me a lot of joy. Food is one uniting factor for all humanity. If my blog inspires even a few people to cook, I would be happy.

Communication is my strong point and I get across my thoughts right from the heart. An avid and dedicated blogger, my blog is valued by family and friends alike.

South India is my home and I am proud of my city and state, especially the golden mangoes we get here. Standing at a crossroads of life, I want to expand and explore my horizon. Travel is on the agenda and while doing so, I would like to share my experiences through my writing. Travel leads to learning about new cultures, foods and places to explore.

I harbour instinctive empathy and a knack for comforting and counselling people. Spending time with youngsters rather than my peers keeps me young.

I am a grand visionary but I have a very humanitarian approach to life, grounded in Mother Earth. I love people around me and I learn a lot from every individual who crosses my path. The personal lives of everyone from the valet to the bellboy to the little boy who cries down the lane interest me. People chase rainbows, but I live in one! You may see me having a dreamy, wandering expression, but I do not live in the clouds. I have a good sense of humour when I am ribbed.

My life has been and is a constant struggle, but I have learned not to give up.

I believe in-

  1. Read, read, read and then write.
  1. Spread smiles, not germs
  1. Men and Women are both from Earth= Equal.
  1. Work hard and stay humble.
  1. Love yourself and you will love everyone else.
  1. The only way to live is to let others live
  1. The richest legacy is Truth.
  1. You do not choose the family; you choose friends.
  1. When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
  1. Empathy is stepping into another’s shoes.
